.swiss to partner with the TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award. The website is now hosted at top100startups.swiss.
The top-level domain .swiss has entered into a partnership with the top event in Switzerland for startups.
The aim of the partnership is to promote the .swiss top-level domain, which will also house the award event website with immediate effect. The TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award provides great media resonance for its annual honorees, the most promising startups in Switzerland, with great media resonance. At the same time, the Confederation of Swiss Startups uses the .swiss domain as an important tool that identifies the events origin and Swiss roots.
“.swiss stands for Swiss origin”, says René Dönni Kuoni, Deputy Director OFCOM. “Just as the Swiss traits for quality and innovation are indispensable for participation in the TOP 100 award, so too are those traits part of the Swiss identity.
.swiss Internet and e-mail addresses are assigned and operated exclusively by the Confederation. Only companies with a physical place of business in Switzerland can register and appear for the award. This makes .swiss more and more a seal of quality for products and services of Swiss companies and organisations that can be understood immediately and easily all over the world.
Every year, the TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award presents the 100 most innovative and promising Swiss startups for founders, investors, corporate stakeholders and the media.
The ranking and ceremony are an indispensable annual event, as the most noteworthy start-up event each year with an impact far beyond national borders. Last year not only did all major investors from Switzerland participate, but also investors from China, Silicon Valley, England, France, Italy and Germany. After the award, the TOP 100 Startup Magazine is published, which is the Who is Who of the Swiss Startup Ecosystem.
The TOP 100 Swiss Startup Award takes place this year on 4 September 2019 in Zurich.
