Launch of the registration of .swiss addresses in September

The first phase for registering a .swiss domain name will run from 7 September 2015 until 9 November 2015. This ”Sunrise” period relates exclusively to marks registered in the Trademark Clearinghouse central register, to names of public authorities as well as certain rights attached to distinctive signs which are protected in Switzerland (e.g. trademarks, business names, PDO).

The general launch, meanwhile, will begin on 11 January 2016.

Interested parties must submit a registration application to a registrar registered on the published list a short time before the launch period on the registration website (www.nic.swiss).
